Our Gatlinburg sports complex hosts a variety of exciting tournaments and events throughout the year, with competitions ranging from traditional sports like basketball, volleyball and soccer to martial arts and more! Whether you are participating in an event as an individual or as a team, you can get into the competitive spirit by visiting one of the attractions near our facility! Here are 5 fun Smoky Mountain attractions that foster the spirit of competition:
1. Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini-Golf
There is nothing quite as fun as a challenging round of miniature golf, so be sure to visit Ripley’s Davy Crockett Mini Golf for some exciting mini golf competition! This Gatlinburg attraction actually features two uniquely themed 18 hole courses, so play one or experience them both to determine your favorite! The courses replicate the “old days” when Tennessee hero Davy Crockett roamed the Smokies, so have a blast as you compete for the lowest score!
2. Gatlinburg Axe House
The Gatlinburg Axe House offers one of the newest trends in sports entertainment with axe throwing! While it may initially sound intimidating, this activity is actually very safe and children as young as 4 years old can participate in the fun! Once arriving at the Gatlinburg Axe House, you’ll receive a WATL certified Axe Coach who will go over some safety tips and provide training and support. After your training session, you’ll be free to hurl away, but your coach will still be available for tips and techniques!
3. Gatlin’s Laser Tag
Another one of the fun Smoky Mountain attractions that fosters the spirit of competition is Gatlin’s Laser Tag! This is the largest laser tag arena in the Gatlinburg area and features the latest phaser technology, as well as sentry pods and home bases that fire back! The black lit atmosphere is filled with pumping music and swirling lights that add to the thrilling setting! After being outfitted and briefed, step into the arena to see if you have what it takes to crack the leaderboard!
4. TopJump Trampoline and Extreme Arena
Take your competition to new heights by visiting TopJump Trampoline and Extreme Arena in Pigeon Forge! This is not just your typical trampoline center, but an action packed adventure destination with basketball, dodgeball, an obstacle course and more! You will also find the nation’s first sky-high climbing adventure, Cliffhanger Challenges, that has 21 different climbing lines to test your abilities!
5. Go Karts at the Blake Jones Racing Center
Race to the finish line on the go karts at the Blake Jones Racing Center, which features an indoor track with electric karts! The track was inspired by intense dirt racing on an oval track and the karts offer various settings for both rookie and experienced drivers! As one of the top Smoky Mountain attractions, the Blake Jones Racing Center is the only go-kart track in Pigeon Forge with no fumes, no odors and hardly any noise at all!
