3 Parks in Gatlinburg Where You Can Practice for Your Tournament
If you want to practice for your tournament at Rocky Top Sports World and you have already arrived to Gatlinburg, we have great news for you! There are several city-owned parks throughout Gatlinburg that are open to the public and have excellent recreational facilities! The only thing that you need to bring along with you are any sports equipment that you might need for your practice session! Here are 3 parks in Gatlinburg where you can practice for your tournament:
1. Herbert Holt Park
One of the parks in Gatlinburg where you can practice for your tournament is Herbert Holt Park, which is located just off the Parkway on North Park Lane. While this particular park doesn’t feature any fields, you will find some nice walking trails so you can get an excellent cardio workout! Since Herbert Holt Park is situated next to a fishing stream, it is a fun location when you want to toss the football around or practice your soccer moves. You could spend a whole afternoon here since there are also plenty of picnic tables to enjoy your lunch! Other facilities include a playground area and horseshoe pits.
2. Mynatt Park
Mynatt Park is the perfect destination for tournament practice because it features a baseball field and a basketball court! This park is tucked away on Asbury Lane, which is just off the Historic Nature Trail. It is considered a hidden gem in Gatlinburg and you will likely find that you have the park practically to yourself! Whether you want to shoot some hoops or get some batting practice, you could spend hours here getting ready for your tournament at Rocky Top Sports World! Mynatt Park also has tennis courts and horseshoe pits for your enjoyment, and there are convenient restroom facilities available. Some of the other features at the park include a children’s fishing stream, playground area, picnic tables and grills.
3. Mills Park
Another one of the parks in Gatlinburg where you can practice for your tournament is Mills Park. It is located on Mills Park Road just off of Highway 321. If you are competing in a football tournament at Rocky Top Sports World, you will be happy to know that this park offers a football field for your practice sessions! There’s also a new outdoor exercise park you can take advantage of! Mills Park also has a softball field, basketball court, 400 meter track and a 9 hole disc golf course! There are also several other excellent facilities at this park, including a playground area, picnic tables, grills and restrooms.
