First kickball event at Gatlinburg venue since opening in 2014


GATLINBURG, TN – Rounding third base and heading towards home! Terminology pertaining to base running and pitch counts are not usually commonplace at Rocky Top Sports World in Gatlinburg, TN – except for the weekend of Sept. 25-26 when the 2021 Turf Wars adult kickball tournament operated by Play Mars Sports took place. This tournament marked the first kickball event held at the venue since its opening in 2014.

For your convenience, we offer two different dining options at our complex. Champs Grill and Courtside Cafe provide families and teams the ability to grab a quick bite to eat without having to leave the campus. Rocky Top Sports World records $46.9 million in its 7th year of operation


GATLINBURG, TN – In its 7th year of operation, Rocky Top Sports World welcomed more than 135,700 athletes, spectators, families and friends to Gatlinburg. The award-winning complex contributed $46.9 million in economic impact during the 2020-2021 fiscal year. “Rocky Top Sports World has surpassed all the expectations since its campus opened in Gatlinburg in 2014. The leap into sports tourism has proven to be a vital factor in Gatlinburg’s economic growth over the past seven years,” Gatlinburg Mayor Mike Werner said.

GATLINBURG, TN – Rocky Top Sports World and the Smoky Mountain Cup have been named one of Sports Destination Management’s 2019 Champions of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism. Rocky Top Sports World chose to nominate Smoky Mountain Cup for this award due to their growing impact each year since 2014 when the event began. In 2019, the Smoky Mountain Cup provided $7.6 million in economic impact for the city of Gatlinburg and Sevier County across its four event dates.
