Rocky Top Sports World to Host Play Days for Middle School and High School Basketball Teams
This fall, Rocky Top Sports World will host two awesome basketball play days at our sports campus in Gatlinburg, TN. “Middle School Mania” and “Rumble at the Rock” are perfect for middle school and high school basketball teams that are looking for some extra practice before the season kicks off. Read on to find out everything you need to know about these hotly anticipated events.
Middle School Mania
When and Where
Middle School Mania will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2017. All of the fun will happen at Rocky Top Sports World, located at 1870 Sports World Blvd in Gatlinburg, TN.
What to Expect
Middle School Mania is open to middle school Varsity basketball teams. The event will feature divisions for both boys and girls. We are expecting a great collection of teams from around the area to participate in the play day!
Each team will get to play in at least two games. This pre-season competition is a great way for your team to get back in the groove and play against teams that you may not face in your league.
Middle School Mania will also feature a 3-point shooting contest that is open to the first five male and five female players. There is no additional charge for participating in the 3-point shootout.
Registration

Rumble at the Rock
When and Where
Rumble at the Rock is scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2017. The play day will take place at Rocky Top Sports World’s 86,000 sq. ft. indoor facility, a.k.a. “The Rock”.
What to Expect
Rumble at the Rock is a play day for Varsity and JV high school basketball teams. The event is open to both young men and young women. Rumble at the Rock was a huge success last year, and we are anticipating another large turnout for 2017.
In addition to all of the basketball games, Rumble at the Rock will feature a 3-point shooting contest, which is open to the first 10 male and 10 female players. The shootout is totally free to enter and usually ends with the best male player and the best female player facing off.
Registration
The registration fee for Rumble at the Rock is $85 per team. However, if a school registers both their Varsity and JV teams, the combined cost is only $100.
