Rumble at the Rock: Gatlinburg Basketball Play Day Coming This Fall

Let’s get ready to rumble! This fall, Rocky Top Sports World will host “Rumble at the Rock”, a one day Gatlinburg basketball play day for high school teams. This exciting event is a great opportunity for teams from around the area to enjoy a day of spirited competition and plenty of fun. Read on to learn everything you need to know about Rumble at the Rock.

When and Where

Rumble at the Rock will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2016. The play day will be hosted by Rocky Top Sports World at our indoor complex, “The Rock”. Featuring 6 hardwood basketball courts, team rooms, and bleacher seating, The Rock has more than enough space for all of the teams and spectators. You will find Rocky Top Sports World at 1870 Sports World Blvd in Gatlinburg, TN. Our campus is just a 15 minute drive from all of the attractions, restaurants, and shops in downtown Gatlinburg!

Registration

Rumble at the Rock is open to both men’s and women’s high school basketball teams. Registration ends on October 21, 2016, but we recommend signing up as early as possible. If you register on or before October 1, the cost of registration drops from $100 per team to $85 per team. We also offer discounted registration for teams from the same school. For instance, if both the JV and the Varsity teams from a high school sign up during the early registration period, the entry fee is only $75 per team.

Two Game Guarantee

Unlike some other basketball events, Rumble at the Rock provides a two game guarantee. This way, even if a team loses their first game, they aren’t immediately ejected from the Gatlinburg basketball play day. Having a two game guarantee ensures that every team will get their money’s worth when they attend the Rumble.

3-Point Shooting Contest

In addition to gameplay, Rumble at the Rock will feature a 3-point shooting contest. This fun event is open to the first 10 male and 10 female players. There is no extra charge for entering the 3-point contest. To determine the winner, the best male player and the best female player will go head to head. We can’t wait to see who walks away with the title and the trophy!

Healthy Lunches Available Onsite

For the convenience of our athletes, Rocky Top Sports World allows teams to preorder healthy lunches from our onsite restaurant, Champ’s Grill. You can choose from three delicious options: our Grilled Chicken Wrap, Gluten Free Chicken Salad Sandwich, or Turkey and Ham Hoagie.
