Attack at the Rock: Gatlinburg’s Summer Volleyball Play Day

If your high school volleyball team is looking for some pre-season practice this summer, you will love Attack at the Rock! This special volleyball play day at Rocky Top Sports World is a great opportunity for your team to shake off the cobwebs before school starts up again. Attack at the Rock is expected to attract some of the most competitive high school teams from around the Southeast. Read on to find out all the details for this eagerly anticipated event.

Where and When

Attack at the Rock will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Rocky Top Sports World. Our sports campus is located at 1870 Sports World Blvd in Gatlinburg, TN. Situated in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Rocky Top Sports World is just 10 minutes from all of the attractions, restaurants, and shops in the heart of the city.

What to Expect

Attack at the Rock is open to girls high school volleyball teams. Each team that participates in the event will play in four matches. This fun play day is the perfect way to warm up for the fall volleyball season.

“The Rock” is our 86,000 sq. ft. indoor complex, which features 12 state-of-the-art volleyball courts. In addition to the 12 onsite courts, Rocky Top Sports World also has access to five additional volleyball courts at the Gatlinburg Community Center, which is right next door to our campus.

How to Register

The registration fee for Attack at the Rock is just $80 per team! To sign up for the play day, scroll to August in our Gatlinburg Sports Events listings until you find Attack at the Rock. Then, click the “Register Here” button. After completing the online registration, your team will be sent an electronic invoice. The balance must be paid before August 4th in order to participate in the event. Athletes participating in Attack at the Rock can take advantage of our convenient Healthy Choice Meal Plans. When you preorder one of our lunches, you’ll have a tasty meal waiting for you on the day of the event. Our onsite restaurant, Champ’s Grill, offers four delicious options: Crispy BBQ Chicken Wrap, Turkey and Cheese Hoagie, Grilled Ranch Chicken Wrap, and Pasta Power Salad.

Getting to Gatlinburg

Gatlinburg is just a day’s drive from 60% of the nation’s population! Our sports campus is less than 4 hours away from many of the South’s major cities, including Atlanta, GA, Asheville, NC, Charlotte, NC, Lexington, KY, and Nashville, TN.

To avoid traffic, we recommend taking Exit 432 A towards Sevierville or Exit 435 towards Newport/Gatlinburg from I-40 East. If you’re using a GPS, you will want to plug in our alternate address: 150 Proffitt Road in Gatlinburg.
